AMBULANCE SERVICE
Use 911 to call an ambulance in an emergency. Police will handle their entry. When possible, please alert an Event Chairman wearing Event shirts, or contact our headquarters at (phone #).

BUS SERVICE
Bus service will remain the same. The Downtown Transfer Center is at Spring & Edward.
CAR SHOW
All vehicles must be registered to enter the car show.
ONLY Pre-registered vehicles should report to the Main Gate located at 6th & Capitol Streets.
If you have not pre-registered, please go to the corner of 6th and Lawrence -- on-site registration will take place in the parking lot on that corner. The on site registration fee is $50.
Cars in the show are asked to exhibit the complete festival hours on Saturday & Sunday. If there is an
emergency and a vehicle needs to leave early, the vehicle must be escorted out. Please alert Festival staff carrying a radio on an emergency basis.
Participants are welcome to leave their vehicle in their car show exhibit space overnight on Saturday. We will have police presence overnight; however, the Festival does not accept liability for any loss or damage that may occur.
CAR SHOW JUDGING
Our panel of accomplished judges will judge on Saturday & Sunday. Awards will be distributed on Sunday from 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM on the Horsepower Stage located at 5th & Capitol Streets.
DRESS CODE
Shirts and shoes must be worn. All vendors are instructed to refuse service to anyone violating the dress code.
EMERGENCY
In case of an emergency call 911 or the Springfield Police Department at (217) 788-8311. Please alert the festival main office if possible or any person with a radio and wearing an event shirt.
FESTIVAL ADMISSION
Free admission includes all stage shows, street entertainment, workshops, and car show (fee to exhibit)
FOOD VENDORS
Food vendors are located at food courts throughout the festival. Consult the official program for a listing.
INFORMATION BOOTHS
Free programs and general information are available at the Springfield Hotel/Motel Association Visitor Information Booths located at Adams & 6th Streets.
LOST & FOUND
Lost people and things can be retrieved at all Visitor Information Booths.
PETS
All animals/pets need to be on a leash or animal carrier at your site. There are no areas within the event for your animal to relieve itself.
POLICE SERVICES
Springfield Police Department will be available on 7th Street in the alley between City Hall & the Library.
PORTABLE TOILETS & HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE PORTABLE TOILETS
Portable toilets will be available throughout the festival at various locations. Each location features accessible facilities and hand-washing stations. Wheel chair accessible toilets are available throughout the festival at each portable toilet stations.
PUBLIC PARKING
Surface lots, street parking, public garages and private garages are available throughout the area.
RESTAURANTS
A list of nearby restaurants is available at the Visitors Information Booth on Adams & 6th.
SOUVENIRS
Festival souvenirs may be purchased at 5th & Washington Streets as well as on Adams & 6th Streets.
ROUTE 66 PARADE OF CARS
The City Cruise is Friday evening starting at 6:30 PM from the Illinois Department of Transportation parking lot at 2300 Dirksen Pkwy. All classic and collectible vehicles can participate at no cost. Cars do not have to be registered for the car show in order to participate. The cruise follows Route 66 through town and flows into the festival North on 6th Street.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
The festival does not have shuttle service. We recommend asking your hotel about shuttle service or called a taxi; a list of taxi services is below.

WEATHER
If bad weather is approaching, all chairmen will be advised to move the public from the street to storefronts or to nearest shelters.
